Independent Freight Dispatcher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining efficient communication between drivers and management. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• **This position is 100% Commission. You will be an Independent Contractor. We offer a Train to Work opportunity. Trainings start soon!

Compensation: Starts at 50/50 Revenue share (we have 3 revenue tiers)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dispatch operations by assigning routes and schedules to drivers.
• Utilize transportation management systems and GPS technology to optimize delivery routes.
• Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing them with necessary information regarding their routes and any changes that may arise.
• Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Handle phone systems efficiently, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance transportation planning strategies and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Utilize software to manage logistics.

Qualifications

• Customer Service experience is a plus.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with GPS systems and transportation management software is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in using phone systems with a focus on maintaining professional phone etiquette.
