Fractional Interim CFO — CPG / Food / Inventory Heavy Startup ZeroCarb LYFE is seeking a Fractional Interim CFO to support our finance function during a critical transition period. This role is ideal for a senior finance leader with experience in CPG, food, D2C, retail, inventory-heavy, or manufacturing-adjacent businesses. We need someone who can provide CFO-level oversight, strengthen financial visibility, support audit readiness, and help prepare the business for investor and future diligence needs. What You’ll Support Financial reporting and leadership-level decision support. Audit readiness and financial statement support. Active Reg CF raise financial support. COGS, gross margin, inventory, and operational finance analysis. Related-party transfer price review where it impacts COGS. Cash flow visibility, runway planning, and financial controls. U.S. federal and state tax coordination. U.S. sales tax and economic nexus across states. Finance team oversight without becoming the day-to-day accounting doer. Future diligence, quality-of-earnings, raise, or sale readiness. Must-Have Experience Fractional CFO, interim CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leadership experience. CPG, food, beverage, D2C, retail, inventory-heavy, or manufacturing-adjacent experience. Strong understanding of COGS, gross margin, inventory, and cash planning. Audit or audit-readiness experience. U.S. federal/state tax and sales tax exposure. Ability to work with founders and leadership in a fast-moving startup environment. Strong U.S. business-hours availability. Strongly Preferred Experience preparing a CPG or inventory-heavy company for a raise, diligence, quality-of-earnings review, or sale. Experience defending or normalizing COGS, margins, inventory, and related-party cost structures. Experience supporting lean or founder-led finance teams. Engagement Fractional / interim contract role. 1 Remote. Immediate or near-term availability preferred. Expected to work directly with the CEO and leadership team. Application Question(s):
